We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst III in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The Financial Analyst III provides financial management and system support services to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate (AFSAC/WF) in terms of financial execution, reconciliation, reporting, case closure, annual case reviews, delivery reporting, and decision support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and resolve dormant commitments and Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs)
  • Develop expenditure data to be delivery reported within Security Assistance Management
  • Information System (SAMIS)
  • Identify, research, and resolve FMS case/line discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve financial and logistic system discrepancies in support of annual financial reviews.
  • Provide decision support services and system financial data extrapolation, modeling, and assessments.
  • Verify the accuracy of the data inputs into the various financial/logistical/payment systems. Determine if deliverables were properly paid and identify improper payments and their root causes. Electronically match the funding of deliverables to the payments for those deliverables to automatically identify discrepancies.
  • Provide decision support services, research, system financial data extrapolation, modeling, and assessments.
  • Review, issue, and process Transportation Account Code (TAC) requests for above the line shipping, below the line shipping, and associated Miscellaneous Obligation Reimbursement Documents (MORDs).
  • Administration of the pre-delivery reporting process and accurate and prompt posting of deliveries in SAMIS for AFSAC, the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Oklahoma City Operating Location (OC-OL), Ogden Operating Location (OO-OL), and Warner-Robins Operating Location (WR-OL) managed lines.
  • Post deliveries of expenditures includes, but is not limited to salaries, travel, contracts, government purchase card transactions, and Defense Industrial Fund Management System (DIFMS) work related to repair and return at AFMC’s repair depots, Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), and utilities into the SAMIS logistics system.
  • Perform case/line reconciliation ensuring systems are in balanced and synchronized.
  • Ensure all necessary supporting documentation is complete for FMS Annual Case Review and Reporting processes.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years’ experience with Air Force accounting, ideally with Foreign Military Sales
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Financial systems proficiency: General Accounting and Finance System (GAFS/BQ) data, queried through the Commander’s Resource Information System (CRIS), and Security Assistance Management Information System (SAMIS), Case Management Control System (CMCS), Defense Integrated Financial System (DIFS), Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS), and AFSAC Online (AOL)
  • Clearance:  Able to obtain and maintain a favorable T3 type background investigation that will result in Information Technology (IT) Level II access, as determined by IT requirements.
